How to Apply DTF Transfers

Quick, reliable application instructions and an FAQ for Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers.

  1. Pre-Press Your Garment

    Set your heat press to 285–305°F (140–151°C).

    Pre-press garment for 5–7 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

  2. Position Your Transfer

    Place the DTF transfer ink-side down on the garment and align properly.

  3. Press the Transfer

    Press for 7 seconds at 60 PSI.

  4. Peel the Film

    Use a HOT peel. Remove pressure and peel instantly in one smooth motion.

  5. Final Re-Press (Recommended)

    Cover with parchment or Teflon sheet and press again for 5–10 seconds.

Pro Tips

  • Test a sample before full production.
  • Wash inside out, cold water, mild detergent, tumble low.
  • Store transfers flat in a cool, dry place.
